Google Fit hits Play Store as Apple Health rival

Google has launched an Android compatible alternative to Apple Health as Google Fit hits the Play Store.

Formerly on Android Put on products, Google Fit has today released like a standalone Android application platform.

A centralised hub for all your fitness monitoring and health monitoring needs, Google Fit develops in data collected from your smartphone, wearable or third-party fitness tracker.

With walking, running and cycling metrics all covered, this information is then changed into handy graphs that will help you better understand how well you’re progressing and fitness levels.

“Google Fit uses sensors already built-in for your Android phone to instantly identify walking, biking and running,” the organization has stated from the service.

The announcement added: “You can set and monitor your workout goals according to your activity levels.”

Google Fit works with all Android handsets running Frozen Treats Sandwich or greater.

3rd party products and apps included in Google Fit include individuals produced by Withings, Noom Coach, Runkeeper, Runtastic, Strava.
